Real men invades boy’s playground!
The definition (of real men) is a debatable issue between the male and female species. This is what I hear during those lost moments among skinny bitches during fashion events. Anyways, in our own world (us men), away from the destructive allure of their lingerie and bitchy craving for sweets, we have our own civil war – the BOYS versus the MEN! And in this quiet town of dungeons, dragons and kid’s fantasies, real men have invaded with their tanks of war travelling at the speed of lightning or challenging the forces of torque!
This August, the Enchanted Kingdom held its annual SPEEDWEEK@EK featuring three national races – the 2008 National Slalom Series which was organized by the Race Motorsports Club (RMSC), the 2008 Shell Super Karting Series, and the 2008 San Mig Coffee Philippine Underbone King Championships. Spectators were lucky enough not to dance in the rain and the event fortunate to have beautiful Laguna sunshine all day. Enchanted Kingdom indeed!
Rivera, Mendiola and Gerochi tops National Slalom Gran Prix
The 8th Leg of the 2008 RMSC National Slalom Grand Prix was held in the afternoon August 10 at the Enchanted Kingdom’s parking area. Noel Rivera captured the overall best time and production series best time by clocking 54.70 bringing home a cash price of P6,500. Dr. Peewee Mendiola of Big Chill Racing Team placed second with a time of 55.66. Boodie Dabasol placed third with the time of 55.82 while Emerson Ocampo bagged in fourth by clocking in 56.24 and Nino Sarte of Cabanatuan Auto Club Racing Team with a time of 56.60.
Meanwhile, Nok Gerochi of Big Chill Racing Team captured the NOVICE Best Time who clocked 57.96 and won 1,500.00. Emerson Ocampo of Cabanatuan Auto Club Racing Team captured the FRONT WHEEL Best Time of the day and brought home 2,000.00 pesos.

The Shell Super Karting Series was held on the same day of August 10 in the morning at the Enchanted Kingdom’s Karting race track which was an open area. The race was concluded just a little after 12 noon. It was a dry and hot day and perfect for outdoor motoring sports. The winners were the following:
